Abby Blenk grew up in Cincinnati, OH and currently lives and works in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from the University of Missouri in May of 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in both Digital Storytelling and Art and minors in Computer Science, Information Technology, and English.

Abby works primarily in narrative art and visual storytelling, where she explores personhood and introspection through liminal landscapes and atmospheric, nature-driven imagery. Her work interacts heavily with the impact of audience mediation on meaning-making and personal investment, and she thrives on story creation as a collaborative art form that can span through writing and digital media.

She’s also worked extensively researching grief and artistic processing with the Mizzou ASH Program’s Art of Death team, where she focuses on gently opening conversation around social taboos. These pieces also frequently wander into the liminal, where viewers are encouraged to process their perspectives in a more abstract and personal format before returning to the context of the world.
